Ignacia Muñoz Skater Prodigy
With Gazu Studios, I worked as a filmmaker and photographer on a project dedicated to Ignacia Sayen Muñoz Vargas, an 11-year-old Chilean skater who aspires to compete in the Olympics and future championships with Team Chile. I captured her essence and determination through images and videos that reflect her training and passion for skateboarding. Ignacia, from Tunca Abajo in San Vicente de Tagua Tagua, has lived in New Zealand where she began skateboarding at the age of nine, inspired by her friend Jessica Ready. She has competed in various tournaments, excelling in Bowzilla and becoming the New Zealand national champion at age 11. She is now preparing to represent Chile at the Skateboarding World Championships in Italy, with intensive training at the High Performance Center (CAR) in Santiago. This project aims to raise awareness of her story and generate financial support to cover the travel and accommodation costs needed for international competition.
